American College of Healthcare Executives: ACHE is an international professional society of 30,000 health care executives who lead hospitals, health care systems, and other health care organizations. The group holds an annual Congress on Healthcare Leadership which draws more than 4,000 participants each year. ACHE is also known for its journals, the Journal of Healthcare Management, Frontiers of Health Services Management, and its magazine, Healthcare Executive.

American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists: The mission of ASHP is to advance and support the professional practice of pharmacists in hospitals and health systems, serving as their collective voice on issues related to medication use, public health, and best practices. The group also publishes the American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy. Opportunities for involvement include section leadership, educational programming, publishing, legislative advocacy, policy development, and business partnerships.

National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems: NAPH represents over 100 hospitals and health systems that together comprise the essential infrastructure of many of America's largest metropolitan health systems. Since its inception in 1980, NAPH has educated decision makers about the needs and challenges of member hospitals and the nation's most vulnerable populations. The National Public Health and Hospital Institute (NPHHI) was launched by NAPH in 1988 to address the major issues facing public hospitals, safety net institutions, underserved communities, and related health policy issues of national priority. Its membership includes 141 institutions that comprise the National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems (NAPH).

PharmacyDirectors.com: The non-profit organization was created based on the needs of pharmacy practice managers, primarily the hospital and large healthcare facility directors and assistant directors. The concept, design, and content configuration are based on feedback from over 35 healthcare system pharmacy directors including military healthcare organizations. Pharmacydirectors.com is designed and operated by actual practicing pharmacy directors from across the country.

The Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research: The Alliance is an international association that currently comprises over 300 institutional partners using, producing or supporting health policy and systems research activities in any capacity. It aims to promote the generation, dissemination, and use of knowledge for enhancing health system performance. The Alliance is open to producers and users of health policy and systems research (HPSR), as well as to contributors such as donors and technical institutions helping to foster the development of HPSR.

Association of American Medical Colleges: AAMC is a nonprofit association of medical schools, teaching hospitals, and academic societies. The AAMC seeks to improve the nation's health by enhancing the effectiveness of academic medicine through medical education (educating the physician and medical scientist workforce), medical research (discovering new medical knowledge; developing innovative technologies for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease) and patient care (providing health care services in academic settings).

Federation of American Hospitals: Founded in 1966, FAH is the national representative of investor-owned or managed community hospitals and health systems throughout the United States and serves as a clearinghouse for information about vital health policy issues (Medicare/Medicaid, health care quality, patient safety, health information technology, long-term hospital care, compliance, the health care workforce shortage, privacy and confidentiality, tax issues, etc.). It provides representation and advocacy on behalf of its members to congress, the executive branch, the judiciary, media, academia, accrediting organizations, and the public.

The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy: AMCP is the national professional society dedicated to the concept and practice of pharmaceutical care in managed health care environments. Its mission is to promote the development and application of pharmaceutical care in order to ensure appropriate health care outcomes for all individuals. Its sole purpose is to represent the views and interest of managed care pharmacy.

The group is a leader in providing professional information and education for pharmacists and an advocate for improved health of the American public through the provision of comprehensive pharmaceutical care.

Institute for Safe Medication Practices: ISMP is a nonprofit organization devoted to medication error prevention and safe medication use. It represents over 30 years of experience in helping health care practitioners keep patients safe, and continues to lead efforts to improve the medication use process.
